Afghanistan 2002

I was privileged to work for seven weeks in Afghanistan in the spring of 2002 where I worked for MBC and CARE International. My assignments included  the first soccer match between the ISAF forces and the locals, fighting near the town of Gardiz and the Hajji leaving for Mecca . (The day after the crowd  killed the tourist minister for failing in his job to get them  to Mecca.)
